caitOkay, so I was planning to do a big meaningful update about my life and why I've been MIA for the past while. But then I started reading the reviews for SGA's Sunday and I was forced to spend a full and day and night discussing the ep. So then I got around to watching it, and here we go.
Wow. What a special episode.

The first thing I need to say about this episode is that it basically showed us how every single charachter was at fourteen.
Okay. I'm 31 seconds in to 'Sunday', and I am already irritated. Why is Teyla wearing lululemon capris. Why does she have the exact same intonation as I did when I was a bitch on wheels in eighth grade.
A minute six seconds into 'Sunday' OMG, like, so I totally know him better than you, because I am me and you are well, you. So anyways, did you see that Heightmeyer girl - I mean, we've been to therapy together and shit and like ghosts and whatevs that Michael guy, but I don't really know her because as I said, I am me and she is well, that. OMG I will totally not make the first move, because girls don't do that, biotch. OMG - I totally forgot my books in my locker, um later. tm.rageprufrock in her brill post where she compares Teyla to a teenager at a posh boarding school.
Or not really, but I actually did sound like that. Also, my sister has that exact hoodie except for in white and blue.
I think I'm in love with Elizabeth. 'I work here. In this glass office in the control room. In a city in which everyone lives. together.' That scientist has obviously been taking notes from Rodney and John.
OH YES. That little 'Oh really?' from Teyla was not a question, or even a pointed my friend has a man question, but a sharp little - bitch! of an oh really. 'Do not worryyyyyy. I will have something to occupy my time. While you lunch out with my bearded beloved.' No no no, that whole exchange reeks of 'she stole my man, and now I have to take it giggle giggle giggle EYE FLICK OF RAGE.
OKAY CARSON. I KNOW YOU DIE. BUT WTF. Why the sudden BFF-dom with Ronon and then Elizabeth and then Rodney. What? Also, he is coming across as kind of retarded.
Elizabeth, you are my kinda ho. I would let you into my sorority, anyday.
Okay. Okay. I am stating this for the record. Teyla refusing to go with John and Ronon is not the actions of a girl with a crush who can't make the first move. Ronon is a fourteen year old girl, even more so than John, and this has been proven again and again. Especially to fat Rodney. Also, what was that arm pat and eye contact there. Now, I ship ElizaRonon but I still see that as a sign of love.
Why is Carson so desperate to have someone come along with him and Rodney? I don't even want to make a dirty joke, because ew.
I see this entire John and Ronon bit as Ronon measuring John up and gauging his interest in Teyla. I am pretty sure that if Ronon thought that John was in love with Teyla she would be off limits. He's a loyal guy. I honestly think JOhn's totally unintrested and oblivious.
So wait a minute. John and Rodney canonically hang out all the time playing video games and generally just hanging out. Rodney cannot even spend one afternoon with his best friend fishing because it will be too boring. HMMMM.
Good Lord Katie. Grow a backbone. Or a brain. I like your hair.
The whole marriage thing for Rodney and John? At the same time, not a coincidence, okay.
I love the amount of chess boards. And Zelenka's surfer dude 'Carrrrrsonnnnn'
Okay, so then he dies. Some thoughts on the memorial.
a)I didn't think that the mystery man was maybe Carson until this minute
b)Is there going to be funeral services for the other two who died?
c) John looks hot. That comforting glance at Rodney warmed my ice cold heart.
d)Elizabeth is awesome and I love the suit continuity.
5)why the hell is there a bagpipe on Atlantis if there is no room for running shoes.
That last scene was really kind of weird. No comment.

Date: 2007-01-17 10:36 pm (UTC)When the bagpipes started up I burst into laughter. I was getting a little verklempt (sp?) but that totally fixed it.
Can't you just see them having their order mixed up? Expecting guns and medicine and when they open the box it's a full Scottish regalia. Comedy gold.
